Church Contact Information

The First United Methodist Church of Redwood Falls has two Sunday Worship Services and a number of other annual services.

The church is located in the southwestern part of the city of Redwood Falls at the corner of Veda Dr. and Highway 67 (Broadway). With drive-up access on both levels, and an elevator, the church building and its activities are accessible to all. We also provide personal hearing aides, large print bulletins and hymnals, and children’s quiet activity worship bags. Nursery care for our youngest children is available during worship.

Our Sunday Morning Worship Service is held in the church sanctuary at 10:30 a.m. This service is the center of our life as a congregation, bringing together our whole church family. Our congregation values this time of worship. Under the leadership of our co-pastors and with the assistance of a number of trained lay speakers and musicians, our worship is meaningful and always provides us with food for thought.

During the summer months (from Memorial Day through Labor Day) our worship begins at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday Evening Worship Services
6:45 pm during the school year
 

Our church also offers an additional service of worship on Sunday evenings in our Fellowship Hall. This service is more informal, intimate, spirit-filled, and provides worship opportunities for those who have to miss the Sunday morning service due to work schedules and out-of-town commitments. This service also provides a more intimate setting for those who value an additional opportunity to deepen their faith, and has become a healing space for those who are hurting.

Thanksgiving Service

Each year on the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving our congregation gathers with members of First Presbyterian Church in Redwood Falls for a joint service of Thanksgiving. The two congregations take turns hosting the service, which begins at 7:00 p.m.

Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols

A Christmas Eve Candlelight Service of Lessons and Carols is held at 5:00 p.m.

SPECIAL LENTEN AND HOLY WEEK SERVICES

Ash Wednesday Communion Service 7:15 p.m.

Special events or services are often held on Wednesday evenings during Lent

Maundy Thursday Communion Service 7:15 p.m.

Ecumenical Good Friday Service 12:00 noon

Local churches take turns hosting this ecumenical service,
sponsored by the Redwood Falls Ministerial Association

Good Friday Tenebrae Service 7:15 p.m.

Easter Sunrise Service 7:30 a.m.

This service is led by our youth and is followed by an Easter breakfast

Worship in the Park

Each summer the church holds an All Church Picnic
followed by Worship in the Park at the Lower Shelter in Ramsey Park.

Nursing Home Worship

Our pastors take turns with other members of the Redwood Falls Ministerial Associationproviding weekly worship services in area nursing homes.Our pastors also regularly hold communion services for our members in the nursing homes.
