The Purpose of the United Methodist Women
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE
is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ: to develop
a creative, supportive, fellowship: and to expand concepts of mission through
participation in the global ministries of the church.

General Meeting
The first Wednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. all women are invited to attend this
general meeting including worship, study and fellowship. |
Circle Meetings
Monthly small group gatherings for study, fellowship and support.
Daytime Circles
Dorcas Circle meets on the third Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.
Mary Circle meets on the third Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.
Evening Circles
Joy-Us Bible Study meets on the third Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
Agape Circle meets on the third Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Soup n Sandwich Luncheon
The public is invited to this luncheon, traditionally held on the second Tuesday of
November, raises funds for mission, including camp scholarships. The event includes a meal
of hearty vegetable beef soup and sandwiches, as well as a craft and bake sale.

Family Banquets
Each Spring UMW sponsors a brunch or banquet for the families of the church.
These events are held on a four-year cycle:

Over 80s Luncheon
Each Spring UMW hosts a salad luncheon and special program honoring our women
over 80 years of age.

Womens Retreat
Each Fall UMW hosts an overnight retreat for women of the church at a nearby camp or
conference center. The event includes time for study, worship, crafts, fellowship, food,
and is a wonderful time of rest and renewal.
