The First United Methodist Church of Redwood Falls has a number of musical opportunities for people of all ages.If you have been blessed with the gift of music, or just an appreciation of music, feel free to join us.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is a volunteer mixed choir, grades 9 through adult. The choir meets for rehearsal on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. September through May, and sings at most Sunday morning Worship services. The Chancel Choir is under the direction of Karen Lundgren.

Singing Saints

This children's choir includes children from 2nd to 4th grade. They practice after school on Thursday afternoons from September to May, and sing about once a month during Sunday morning Worship. The Singing Saints are under the direction of Marlene Ramey.

The Church Bells

This volunteer handbell choir, grades 10 through adult, meets each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. from September to May, and plays about once a month for our Sunday morning Worship service.
The Church Bells are under the direction of
Jennifer Gilk.

Junior Bells

This Middle School (5th-8th grade) youth handbell choir practices weekly at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings from September to May, and plays periodically in our Sunday morning Worship. The Junior Bells are under the direction of Karen Boots.

Accompanists and Special Musicians

We have a number of skilled accompanists and instrumentalists who play for our worship services. During the summer months, members and other area vocalists provide special music. Children and youth are periodically given opportunities to share their musical gifts as well.

Sunday School Opening Music

Each Sunday morning during the school year our Sunday school gathers in two groups for opening music at 9:15 a.m. Children through grades 3 meet together to learn songs of faith. Youth, grades 4 through adults also gather to lift their voices in songs of praise.

Christmas Caroling

Each year on a Sunday evening in December, church members of all age gather at the church and divide up to visit area nursing homes, assisted living centers and homes of church members. These groups deliver a Christmas greeting of carols, love, and gifts made by our Sunday School children.
